The campaign for the five open seats on the Carlisle School Board sounds good on paper, but in reality, it’s a different story. The Citizens for Carlisle Schools (Bussard, Clash, Shane, Stroud and Tarrant) have on one hand promoted the idea of unity while spewing falsehoods about the CASD Team for Change (Blume, Brown, Kephart, Leatherman and Shine).
“We will ... never embarrass or divide our community with partisan bickering and gridlock,” says the Citizens for Carlisle Schools website, yet on their social media, they repeatedly and almost daily, portray lies about the CASD Team for Change. They are fixated on falsehood that have been clearly addressed on the CASD Team for Change website. Read the “Truth Be Told“ on their website. Visit the CASD Team for Change Facebook page, and there is nothing but truth based on facts.
The social media, Citizens for Carlisle Schools, with Paula Bussard and a DC political consultant running their posts, and deleting anything that they don’t like, have done nothing to identify areas for improvements, while the CASD Team for Change is strictly running because they see and have shared information about falling test scores and rising taxes. The CASD Team for Change is a group of parents and grandparents who have experienced the dismissive nature of the board when challenging issues arise (SEL recent vote is one example).
